Getting Bigger

And here's my One Nap Napper. Yep, she takes one great nap in the day, and she's had enough. There are crazy lucky days that I can get 2 in, but she's pretty good at keeping it to one nap. Now night time, that's a whole different ball of wax. She is awesome at night, but the cutie wants only 1 nap... sigh. So here is my update on Brynn. She is obviously getting chubby, something I was beginning to think wouldn't happen, I love it. She is 6 months old, and can sit up on her own for short periods of time. She rolls all over the place, and tries so hard to crawl. She says, "Dada, and buu, buu", and that's about it. She is a doll, and we adore her. Reese likes to show how much she loves her by kissing her none stop until I remove her, and she hugs her in the same way. Abbi is very good with her. She holds her well, and helps her "walk", and sit up. These are the good times!

Soccer Time

Abbi rocked the party at her first soccer game, she made 2 of the 3 goals. Reese and I were cheering for Abbi and her teammates, but Andy was cheering loud, I mean LOUD... it was pretty funny. I think kid soccer is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.

First Day of KINDERGARTEN!!!

Abbi was sooo ready to go to school! She asked me for two weeks straight if it was time to start yet. Finally the day has come. Happy Birthday to me, she started school and soccer on my B-day, fun times. Abbi didn't have any fears or hesitations. She marched right into class and hasn't looked back. Reese on the other hand burst into tears and hugged Abbi about 10 times before I pryed her off. She is recovering well, but I thought she would cry for hours with the scene she made in the school. :) That's my Reese!! So her is my adorable kindergartener. She is so stinkin cute!

Our day at Thanksgiving Point

I took the girls to the Children's garden at Thanksgiving point. The girls loved walking through the gardens... I wasn't sure if they would like it or not. Abbi really got into the photography spirit, and so all of the pictures but one are things she wanted me to take pictures of.      Nice shiner huh?! She just might end up with a permanent dent if she doesn't stop knocking her forehead. :)                                             Here is cute Abbi with an almost smile.

                                                                          My Cuties!!
                                                                    Deep in thought
                                                          This was my favorite area.
It's hard to believe all of the beautiful things in this garden are totally hidden until you get right in the gardens!
                                                                        Good Times!

Memory Tag

This is a tag my friend posted on her blog, and I thought i would play a long.

The Rules:
1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. NEXT, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I will assume you're playing the game and i will come to your blog and leave one about you, or I will post the memories here.

TWILIGHTER!!! YOU BETTER BELIEVE I"LL GET A T-SHIRT FOR THE MOVIE!!

Okay, so my obsession for the past year has been Twilight, and all of the other books that are included in the series. Karen pointed out that I haven't mentioned any of the books of my blog, and that's pretty tragic because I'm a lost cause with my addiction. I will someday figure out how to paste a picture from another website on my blog, but until then Yeah for Breaking Dawn!! I LOVED IT!

Piggy Back Rides

This was pretty funny. The girls were trying to give their teddy bears piggy back rides, and it just wasn't working out so well. So I strapped the bears to their backs and away they went. They thought it was so funny.

4th of July

I know that 4th of July has long since passed, but I had to get the few pictures that I did take on here. It was SO fun having my mom here for the 4th! My girls adore my mom, Reese especially. She was my mom's constant shadow the whole time she was here.                                We had a block party at the Oakeson's and all of the kids went swimming.
Abbi was finally brave enough to go down the slide, and when she discovered that it was fun, she didn't stop. That's our Abbi, cautious at first until she knows she will be safe, and okay, then she doesn't want to stop.

Broken Toe

Here's Reese with her "special shoe" as she calls it. She was looking for bugs when her cousin dropped a brick on her toe by accident. Turns out it was broken. She just barely was able to take it off today, YEAH!!! She did really well keeping the thing on for the past few weeks. Reese seems to be a magnet for accidents. Her head is constantly bruised from hitting on something. Good luck Reese!

Beautiful Brynn

She is such a cutie, and such a good baby! Brynn has bright blue eyes, and auburn hair. It's fun for me that she has quite a bit of hair because it gives me hope that soon I will be able to do things with it. She's 4 months old, and she is starting to roll back and forth on her sides, and she can grab toys and hold onto them. She laughs and smiles and coos when we look at her. She is great at pulling out her binky, and putting it back in her mouth. In the morning when she wakes up instead of crying right away she starts squeaking, and making cute noises while playing with her feet. We are so happy to have her in our family.

Crazy Girls!

We went swimming at Claire's house. Reese likes swimming, but is kind of afraid of the water also. She spent half of her time sitting on the top step of the pool, and the other half was spent following Marjann around. She is so funny, once she decides that she likes someone she wants nothing more than to be with them.

Zoo Fun

We went to the zoo last week with Corey, Rick, A.J., and Riley. We haven't been to the zoo in more than three years, so it was great to go back!

Here we are at Springville Days children's carnival. The girls had so much fun, and it was so nice to have Andy there with us on a weekday! The carnival was mostly blow up slides and jump houses. Reese for some reason doesn't like blow up slides, so she wanted to spend the whole day on two rides, The turning strawberry, and the train that drove around on the grass. Abbi loved all of the rides. She reminds me of me as a kid, I wanted to go on everything, I didn't want to miss out on a ride because that might be the best one.

Hot Air Balloon

Last week we were interrupted during breakfast when a huge hot air balloon landed in our backyard...ish. Since we have no immediate neighbors we consider the whole block our backyard. We had to run over and get a picture. Reese would be in the picture also, but she was terrified of the fire in the balloon so she stayed safely in my arms. Abbi however was ready to get in and go for a ride. We settled for a picture with her sitting on the edge.

Miss Independent

Look at my big girl! This is a month late on my blog, but I couldn't leave this one out. Abbi learned to ride a bike without training wheels, YEAH!!! She rides like a champ now. Abbi is funny because when she decides that she can do something she does it and she does it well. So far, knock on wood, she hasn't had any falls on her bike, no scratches, really no trouble at all. This same week she taught herself how to tie her own shoelaces. I was showing her how I like to tie my shoes and she says, " No mommy, I think I'll do it my way", and she does.

Dance Party

Abbi and Reese were rockin out to Hannah Montana of coarse. Reese was, well....being Reese, but I got Abbi in an action shot. Abbi loves listening to music and Reese just loves doing EVERYTHING that Abbi does. She literally wants to do anything that Abbi does. Abbi is such a sweetheart, and she is usually a good sport about it, but as you can imagine having a shadow can get frustrating, especially for a five year old.

Reese

Me and my Mellows!

Both Reese and Abbi love
 their treats, a trait they
picked up from their mom
no doubt. This is the expression
that I get from Reese in 8
out of 10 times I take a
 picture.

Abbi's first day of pre-school

CATCHING UP

So I did it, I started a blog. it will take me a while before I really get the hang of everything, but it is fun to start something new. I thought I would start out by recapping our life in the last year.
Andy and I went to Hawaii last March with friends and it was an absolute Blast (Buttacup)!! We started building a house, and we of coarse are in that house now, Abbi started preschool (there is my favorite picture of Abbi on that day), Reese turned 2 in November, and we were actually able to go on a vacation for Christmas. That was all in 2007, and more recently Abbi turned 5 in January, we moved into our house February 21st, and one week later, on leap day of coarse, Brynn was born. Life slowed down for a few weeks at our house due to doctors threatening us not to take our baby out too much due to the high risk of RSV during the "cold" months in Utah. So life is starting to pick up again, and the weather is getting warmer so we will be spending much more time outside.
